About me

I’m a computer science engineer with an MSc degree and more than twelve years of professional experience, mostly in web and mobile development. I’ve built and shipped products as a developer, made them safer as an application-security engineer, and led the people behind them as an engineering manager. The common thread is a generalist’s mindset, the kind that finds a way through very different problems.

I started as a developer, but people gradually became a bigger part of my work: I became a team lead at Emarsys (part of SAP), then an engineering manager at Grover, and later, as Head of Software Development Strategy at Transcend Software, I was also responsible for the long-term software direction and AI enablement of a delivery organisation. I’m also an AWS Certified AI Practitioner.

Today I run Hevalis Labs, where I help companies as a software partner: consulting, web and mobile development, and putting AI to work in practical, safe ways. Beyond the code, I like sharing what I’ve learned. I’ve spoken at Hacktivity, Craft Conference, and OWASP meetups, written for the Emarsys Craftlab blog, and mentored developers. These days that means running hands-on AI workshops and trainings.

From LEGO robots to Raspberry Pis and microcontrollers, I like to experiment with different gadgets in my free time to build custom smart digital devices.
