MPA is a first-aid application for mobile phones. It was designed to be used in emergency situations so it only shows relevant information not to confuse the user. It also asks simple questions to estimate the current emergency and show the needed details.
We wanted MPA to be medically accurate so at the beginning of the development we consulted with an oxyologist and drew flowcharts according to his advices and an up-to-date first-aid book.
We wanted MPA to be available for as many phones as possible (smartphones were not popular at the time we started the development) so it is not only a smartphone application but it is also a mobile-friendly webpage. The webpage has no server code rather it is a collection of static HTML files and images. This way it can be copied to the internal storage of the phones and it can be used offline. The static HTML files were created by a custom-made generator program that used a custom model file we created with a our model editor.
We created MPA in the last year of our Highschool studies and entered the The Hungarian Association for Innovation's Scientific and Innovation Talent Recruitment Contest For Youth where we won the first prize and the opportunity to represent Hungary on the 23rd European Union Contest for Young Scientists in Helsinki.
