Sound Effect Player

Mini sound player with buttons to create a fun office amusement

This simple electronics project combines Adafruit’s Audio FX Mini Sound Board with a small amplifier and four arcade buttons to create a fun office amusement.

The 5V USB cable powering the Adafruit board also powers the amplifier, the four buttons are mounted on top of the speaker’s housing, where I managed to fit every component into. If you connect it to a computer, the sound effect files can easily be replaced and if you connect it to a 5V USB power adapter each button plays the sound effect associated with it when pushed. An instant ‘ba dum tss’ or ‘ta da’ effect is a lot of fun in many conversations.
